Originally used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic Medicine, Ashwagandha is a small evergreen shrub that grows in India, Middle East and parts of Africa.

Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic - it adapts to balance out the levels , e.g. hormones, of your body ; it aims to ensure stability in the body.

Ashwagandha: Ashwa means horse; Ashwagandha name describes smell of its root, which smells like a horse.

Ashwagandha Sleep Care Milk


  • 1 cup Milk of your choice (whole, almond, coconut etc.)
  • 5 grams Ashwagandha powder
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cardamom Powder.
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg Powder

Method Of Preparation

  1. Add 4 cups milk and 10 grams Ashwagandha Powder.
  2. Add sugar, cardamom powder, elaichi powder,turmeric powder.
  3. Bring to simmer until it turns to a thick consistency.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes. Serve and Enjoy!

Advice on Taking Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha doses depend on the cause for which they are being taken. In general... Take 250 - 500 mg of ashwagandha with meals.
